This airborne object detection device is provided with: a communication unit capable of communicating with a first camera of which an optical axis can be adjusted and which is disposed so as to be able to capture an image of a monitoring area, or with a microphone array which is disposed so as to be able to pick up sounds in the monitoring area; and a processor which, in the case when the noise level of a sound picked up in the monitoring area is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, performs suppression processing to bring down, by a given value, the sound parameter representing sound magnitude, and which detects the presence or absence of an unmanned air vehicle in the monitoring on the basis of a sound parameter representing the magnitude of the picked-up sound or the sound parameter that has undergone suppression processing. In the case when the optical axis direction of the first camera is to be adjusted toward a direction in which an unmanned air vehicle has been detected, the processor skips the execution of suppression processing for the sound parameter.
