The invention relates to safe operation support systems of nuclear powerplants(NPPs) at severe accidents, in particular, to methods and systems for coolingandcooling control of the reactors molten core.The technical result of the claimed inventions is to increase the safety ofNPP,cooling efficiency of the molten core of a reactor.The objective of the claimed inventions is to increase the efficiency ofcoolingthe molten core of a reactor by safely removing the heat load from the moltenmetalmirror, ensuring the elimination of vapour explosions leading to thedestruction of thelocalization area of accidents, the reactor cavity and the containment.The technical result is achieved by changing the principle of cooling thereactormolten core, which consists in the fact that after the molten core destroysthe reactorvessel, the conditions for subsequent cooling of the molten metal aredetermined bythe characteristics of the trap casing, but not of the reactor.Besides, the technical result is achieved due to the installation oftemperaturesensors and level gauges designed to monitor the cooling process of the moltencoreof a reactor.
