The present invention discloses a method for restoring an underground image onthebasis of a ray reverse tracing technology. The method includes the followingsteps:setting an underground camera as a light source emitting point, and emittingrays intoan underground scene; recording all intersection points of all rays andundergroundobjects, and calculating one intersection point closest to a view point in theintersectionpoints; calculating a direction of rays newly generated after the rays arereflected andrefracted by the objects in a position of the intersection point; respectivelytracing therays newly generated; recording rays irradiated onto a view plane after astrong lightsource emitted from the position of the camera is reflected or refracted forthree times,and calculating light intensity of the rays; converting the light intensityinto a pixelvalue by a camera CCD photosensitive element; and eliminating the pixel valueofstrong light emitted from the camera in an image finally shown on the viewplane toobtain an image after strong light source influence elimination. The methodprovidedby the present invention can effectively eliminate the interference of astrong lightsource, restore the underground image, and ensure the smooth proceeding ofunderground work and the life safety of operators.
