Provided are a linkage mechanism for a rebar tying machine and a rebar tying machine, wherein the linkage mechanism for the rebar tying machine comprises a power device (3) and a power delaying mechanism, the power device (3) being connected to a wire torsion mechanism (1) of the rebar tying machine, the power device (3) being connected to a wire feeding mechanism (2) of the rebar tying machine by means of the power delaying mechanism, and the power delaying mechanism being used for controlling the wire feeding mechanism (2) to stop wire feeding when the wire torsion mechanism (1) finishes wire torsion and the wire torsion mechanism (1) resets; and the rebar tying machine comprises the linkage mechanism for the rebar tying machine. The rebar tying machine can employ a simple connection and can also have a secure and reliable effect, and the integral parts thereof are easy to position and mount.
