The present disclosure provides a location and attitude sensing device of apropelling rod of ahydraulic support of a fully mechanized face, a mechanism for the propellingrod and a methodthereof. The sensing device includes a fully mechanized mining face comprisinghydraulic supportbases. A propelling rod of each hydraulic support base is connected to amiddle pan of a scraperconveyor. A left location and attitude sensing unit and a right location andattitude sensing unitconfigured to sense the location and attitude of each propelling rod arerespectively disposed on aleft and a right side of the propelling rod. A central signal processing unitsenses an offset extentof the propelling rod according to a shift fed back by the left location andattitude sensing unit anda shift fed back by the right location and attitude sensing unit, and performsadjustment throughan actuator.
