Systems and methods here may be used for pre-processing images, includingusing acomputer for receiving a pixelated image of a paper document of an originalsize,downscaling the received pixelated image, employing a neural network algorithmto thedownscaled image to identify four corners of the paper document in thereceived pixelatedimage, re-enlarging the downscaled image to the original size, identifyingeach of fourcorners of the paper document in the pixelated image, determining aquadrilateral composedof lines that intersect at four angles at the four corners of the paperdocument in the pixelatedimage, defining a projective plane of the pixelated image, and determining aninversetransformation of the pixelated image to transform the projective planequadrilateral into aright angled rectangle.
