The invention relates to a crossing method for a vehicle (508), the driving of which is at least partially assisted, for crossing an obligatory passage zone (SL3) on a road (RD), said method comprosing the steps of: obtaining positioning data of the vehicle in a predetermined reference frame (RP); obtaining positioning data of the obligatory passage zone in said reference frame; determining a lateral direction set point value from the positioning data of the vehicle, the positioning data of the obligatory passage zone, and data relating to the variation of an angle between an axis that connects the vehicle to the obligatory passage zone and a direction which is set in relation to said reference frame.
