Disclosed is a method for program upgrade, pertaining to the technical field of portable listening devices, for solving the issues of instability, long upgrade time, and occupation of hardware resources in current program upgrade processes. The method comprises: during upgrade, establishing a wireless communication connection between a first wireless headset and a terminal, and the first wireless headset receiving a first upgrade file sent by the terminal and performing an upgrade; and establishing a wireless communication connection between a second wireless headset and the terminal, and upon completion of the upgrade of the first wireless headset, the second wireless headset receiving a second upgrade file sent by the terminal and performing an upgrade. In the present application, two headsets are separately upgraded by means of a terminal, and upgrade data is not required to be transferred via the main headset, thereby improving the reliability of the upgrade operation, reducing the upgrade time, and avoiding the consumption of hardware resources of the main headset. Additionally, the present application further provides a method for upgrading a program of a TWS headset, a TWS headset, and a system for upgrading a program of a TWS headset having the above technical advantages.
