A gamut mapping method. The method comprises: obtaining the first coordinate value of a target pixel point P in Lab space according to a digit value of the target pixel point P in a large gamut (S101); determining a hue plane where the target pixel point P is located, and determining (H, C, L) of the target pixel point P (S102); mapping the target pixel point P to a small gamut according to the (H, C, L) so as to obtain the second coordinate value of a mapped pixel point P1 in the Lab space (S103); and obtaining a mapping digit value of the mapped pixel point P1 in the small gamut (S104).
