The present invention is related to a ventilation system for a data center in a shipping container and a method for ventilating a data center in a shipping container. The intake of external air by the ventilation of the data center in a shipping container is organised with ventilation devices and the removal of the heat generated by the computers as hot air from the shipping container into the external environment is organised using the computers' own ventilators.
