A Shaft-less propeller is used in turbines, pumps, and propulsion system. Blades of a Shaft-less propeller are mounted within a cylindrical shroud. Complex propeller design could be shaped and constructed from advanced composites, metals, etc. The shroud reduces losses in thrust from the tips of the blades, and varying the cross-section of the shroud allows the designer to advantageously affect the velocity and pressure of the flow. A Shaft-less propeller can be more efficient than a conventional propeller. The improved performance is mainly because the possible changing in parameters such as diameter and length of cylindrical shroud, the number of full blades, and adding splitter blades, twisting(curvature) the blades, etc. The Shaft-less propellers may be powered by any source of shaft power by gearwheel, chain-drive, belt, etc. on its shroud or directly by electric motor or generator that rotor could be directly mounted on its shroud.
