Disclosed is a high specific energy lead-acid battery negative plate grid, which consists of a pole lug, an outer frame, longitudinal ribs, and transverse ribs. The longitudinal ribs are provided at an interval of 7-19 millimeters and the transverse ribs are provided at an interval of 34-50 millimeters to form rectangular grids of transversely short and vertically long. The present invention further relates to the formulation of a negative active material of the high specific energy lead-acid battery negative grid, the formula comprises the following components according to the parts by weight: 100 parts of lead powder, 12-14 parts of deionized water, 12-14 parts of dilute sulfuric acid, 2-3 parts of a swelling agent, 0.5-2 parts of glue-free carbon fibers, and 0.1-0.2 part of a coupling agent. According to the present invention, the grid structure is improved and the glue-free carbon fibers are added into the negative active material, so that the conductivity of the manufactured negative plate is improved and the utilization ratio is increased. The specific energy of a negative plate assembled battery manufactured in the present invention is increased to 45-50 wh/kg.
