Provided are a method for optimizing the chrominance of a liquid crystal display screen, and a liquid crystal display apparatus. Starting from a combination mode of a liquid crystal panel and a backlight source, a means of optimizing the cross matching of assemblies between the liquid crystal panel and the backlight source is used, so that the chrominance tolerance range of white point chrominance coordinates of a finished product of an assembled liquid crystal display screen is x/y ± 0.015, thereby effectively improving the chrominance error of the assembled liquid crystal display screen, and the method can be achieved and implemented in automated production.
