The invention proposes an axially actuated electrical touch switch (10), which comprises: a housing (12, 19); a plurality of independent fixed electrical contacts which are arranged in a base (12) of the housing, and a movable electrical contact (14) which comprises a peripheral portion (37, 38) that rests on a portion of a fixed peripheral electrical contact and a central portion (40) movable vertically downwards; an actuator body made of a single piece of resilient material (16), which comprises a peripheral portion (42), a central actuator portion (44) comprising a lower portion (60) for actuating the movable electrical contact (14), and an upper portion (64) for receiving an actuating force (F), characterised in that the housing produced has an upper cover (29) that comprises a hole (85) through which an upper free end section (64s) of the upper portion (64) extends axially; the cover (19) comprises an inner retaining surface (90); and the actuator body (16) comprises an abutment surface (178) that engages with the inner retaining surface (90) of the cover (19) in order to determine an upper inoperative position of the actuator body (16) with respect to the housing (12, 19).
