POLYSTYRENE-BASED FILAMENT FOR SUPPORT STRUCTURE IN FUSED FILAMENT FABRICATION, AND ASSOCIATED FUSED FILAMENT FABRICATION METHOD AND ARTICLE

A filament for use in forming a support structure in fused filament fabrication includes specific amounts of a rubber-modified polystyrene and a polyolefin. The filament minimizes or excludes polydimethylsiloxane. The composition used to form the filament exhibits a desirable combination of filament formability, printability, adhesion to a build material during printing, and separability from the build material after printing. Also described are a method of fused filament fabrication utilizing the filament, and a three-dimensional article prepared by the method.
