The present invention provides a data query method and system, a consensus method and system, a device and a storage medium. Each node of a blockchain network stores a Merkle tree of each block and a global index table corresponding to the Merkle tree of each block. The version number of the version above is a block height. The data query method comprises: receiving a query instruction, the query instruction comprising a first block height queried; and searching for, according to the first block height, target data in the global index table. By means of configuring, for a Merkle tree, a corresponding global index table taking the block height as a version number, and searching for, by means of the queried block height, target data in the global index table, the present invention achieves querying, by means of performing the read operation once, of leaf node data in the Merkle tree in the blockchain, thereby greatly improving the data reading performance of a system.
