An additive for a battery electrolyte, comprising at least a structure shown by a formula I or a structure shown by a formula II. In the formula I, R ₁ and R ₂ are independently selected from a silicon-containing group, and X is selected from an organic group having the number of carbon atoms of 2-20. In the formula II, R ₁ and R ₂ are independently selected from a silicon-containing group, and X ₁ and X ₂ are independently selected from an organic group having the number of carbon atoms of 2-20.
