The invention relates to a drug for the prevention of diseases caused by malnutrition, and more specifically it concerns vitamin PP and the related drug for use in pellagra prevention therapies in the first three years of life. In greater detail, the present patent concerns the administration regimen of the drug, which effectively prevents pellagra after weaning and for the first three years of life.
