A medical control device 3 includes a control circuit for controlling a marking device 1 which is inserted into a body cavity and performs marking by applying energy from an application unit. In the medical control device, the control circuit, on the basis of information indicating a marking region for performing marking on a tissue of interest in the body cavity, detects a proximate region which is a region of the marking region that the application unit has been positioned proximate to, and, upon detecting the proximate region, causes the application unit to apply energy to the proximate region.
