Disclosed are a video analysis system and method for a food processing violation behavior in a university restaurant, relating to the field of image processing. The system comprises a hardware system and a software system; the software system comprises a video analysis subsystem that is run in the hardware platform of a video analysis workstation; the video analysis subsystem comprises a real-time video read module, a video analysis module, a violation behavior picture storage module, a mobile phone short message alarm module, a logging module, and a parameter configuration module. The video analysis subsystem of the present invention may analyze a video collected by a camera in a school restaurant, and automatically detects two typical violation behaviors that an employee does not wear working clothes, and processes raw meat on a vegetable chopping board; on the basis of visual detection algorithms, such as traditional face detection and raw meat detection, a video analysis method for detecting the two violation behaviors is designed; a test result verifies the correctness of a system function; by means of the method, the present invention improves the ability of preventing food safety risks.
