Provided are an image suggestion device, method, and program that are capable of suggesting, to a user, images that match the room of the user and that reflect the preferences of the user. Data pertaining combinations of "rooms and images" liked by users are collected and stored in a data storage unit (222) on a per-user basis. A generation unit (211) uses the per-user collected data to generate information indicating correlation of the "rooms and images" reflecting the preferences of the user. When an image (second image; 230) of a room photographed by a user is acquired, an image selection unit (212), on the basis of the acquired second image and the information indicating the correlation of the "rooms and images", selects an image (third image; 240), that reflects the preferences of the user, from an image group recorded in a content database (218) or a user image database, and suggests the image to the user. It is thus possible to suggest images, that match the room of a user and reflect the preferences of the user, as images for decorating the room of the user.
