The invention relates to a fifth-wheel coupling (6) of a towing vehicle, to which a kingpin (3) of a semi-trailer can be coupled, the fifth-wheel coupling comprising: at least one contact wheel (7), which, when a kingpin (3) is coupled to the fifth-wheel coupling (6), can be brought into frictional radially outer contact against a portion (3a) of the kingpin (3) in order bring about rotation of the contact wheel (7) in question by means of frictional forces between the portion (3a) of the kingpin (3) and the contact wheel (7) in question when the portion (3a) of the kingpin (3) rotates; and an angle-measuring device (12), which is associated with the contact wheel (7) in question and metrologically captures the rotation of the contact wheel (7) in question.
