The present inventors identified numerous nuclear proteins contained in a skin-tissue extract by means of mass spectrometry, randomly selected a plurality of partial amino-acid sequences of the identified nuclear proteins, chemically synthesized peptides formed from said partial amino-acid sequences, and investigated said peptides for mesenchymal-stem-cell mobilizing activity. As a result, the present inventors discovered that the plurality of peptides exhibit an activity that mobilizes mesenchymal stem cells into peripheral blood even though said peptides have completely different amino-acid sequences from each other. In addition, the present inventors discovered that fragment peptides of said nuclear proteins exhibit therapeutic effects on diseases characterized by inflammation and immune-system abnormalities (for example, inflammatory bowel diseases and psoriasis). On the basis of these findings, the present invention provides a new regenerative medical technology that is capable of overcoming problems associated with cell transplantation treatment.
