The invention relates to an architecture of the signal processing device comprising a Frequency Multiplying Device, analogue-to-digital conversion unit, memory and a signal processing unit that can ensure proper synchronization with the input signal comprising arbitrary frequency drifts to obtain stable pre-defined number of samples per period, as well as an accurate information on the estimated value of the signal's actual fundamental frequency for the purpose of adequately interpreting the results of the signal conversion and processing and, where required, proper reconstruction of the signal in an analogue form again.
