This optically transparent moisture-absorbing resin composition: includes 3.0–45 mass% of a zeolite that has an average particle size D50 of no more than 100 nm, 2.0–15 mass% of an ester compound that has an HLB value of no more than 5, and a thermoplastic resin; and does not include an oxide (except the zeolite) of one or more element selected from Al, Si, Ti, and Zr that has an average particle size D50 of no more than 100 nm. The melt flow rate of the optically transparent moisture-absorbing resin composition as measured in accordance with JIS K7210 at a temperature of 190̊C and under a load of 21.18 N is 0.3–30 g/10 min.
