A robot control method and device for sanitation work, and a robot, belonging to the field of image recognition and intelligent control. An image acquisition device (1) acquires an image signal of rubbish on a road surface; an image processor (2) determines the attribute and relative position of the rubbish on the road surface according to the image signal; and a controller (3) controls, according to the attribute and relative position of the rubbish on the road surface, a robot to clean the rubbish on the road surface. The robot control method and device for sanitation work, and the robot can sufficiently obtain information about rubbish, improving the efficiency and pertinence of rubbish cleaning.
