An optical engine used for three-dimensional detection and a three-dimensional detection device, the optical engine comprising a light source (1), an illumination optical system (6), a DMD light modulator (7), a projection imaging system (8), and a projection surface (9) arranged sequentially along the optical path. The light emitted by the light source undergoes multiple steps such as collimation, turning, or convergence, and is evenly irradiated onto the DMD light modulator, and the projection imaging system projects the light beam modulated by the DMD light modulator onto the projection surface. The optical engine has the characteristics of a small volume and being capable of implementing oblique scanning.
