A rapid data acquisition system of an active millimeter-wave imaging radar and an acquisition method therefor. Said system comprises: a data acquisition module (1), comprising P identical basic configurations (4), each basic configuration (4) comprising two different basic units (7) and two identical M-transmitting N-receiving universal front ends (8), the basic units (7) being in one-to-one correspondence with the universal front ends (8), the basic units (7) each comprising a transceiving antenna array consisting of M identical transmitting antennas (5) and N identical receiving antennas (6); a transceiving control module (3) connected to the front ends (8), sending a working instruction to the front ends (8), and processing a signal acquired by the front ends (8); and a data transmission module (2) connected between the front ends (8) and the transceiving control module (3) to perform bidirectional data transmission. By means of the arrangement of the antenna array, the system uses the FMCW system and MIMO system to implement rapid acquisition of azimuth target data, reducing data acquisition time, and ensuring high definition of an imaging result.
