Provided is an orthoimage-based geometric correction system for a mobile platform having a mounted sensor. The system includes: a sensor unit which has at least one among an image sensor, a navigation sensor, and a three-dimensional measurement sensor for acquiring three-dimensional geographic data; a similarity analysis unit which analyzes a similarity between observation-related data acquired from at least one sensor mounted on the mobile platform and orthoimage-related data having two-dimensional geographic information, and sets reference data identically estimated from the observation-related data and the orthoimage-related data; a network model configuration unit which generates a geometric model between the reference data and the observation-related data on the basis of the reference coordinate system of the orthoimage and the reference data; and a most probable value calculation unit which calculates, in the geometric model, a most probable value that minimizes the separation amount between the observation-related data and the reference data, and generates correction data estimated from the observation-related data according to the most probable value.
