The present invention relates to a composition comprising a Clematis mandshurica extract as an active ingredient for cognitive function improvement. A composition for cognitive improvement according to an embodiment of the present invention utilizes an extract derived from a natural substance and thus can be provided as a composition having effects of stress relief, mood improvement, depression prevention, and cognitive function improvement. In addition, when applied to a functional food composition, the composition of the present invention can be provided as a functional food composition that has a high preference while showing effects of stress relief, depression prevention, and cognitive function improvement.
