Provided is a business searching method, comprising: acquiring a geographic location of a user, and using a pre-generated index tree to search for a bounding rectangle encompassing the geographical location of the user (101); determining a target delivery region in which the geographic location of the user is encompassed by a delivery region corresponding to the bounding rectangle (102); and identifying businesses corresponding to the target delivery region as available courier businesses corresponding to the geographic location of the user (103). The above method adopts a spatial location search technique employing an index tree, and a bounding rectangle that encompasses businesses is used to create the index tree.
