The subject of the present invention is a laminate (1) of photovoltaic cells (3), said laminate (1) including: • - at least one layer of photovoltaic cells connected to one another; • - a glass-fiber layer (9) corresponding to a back layer and arranged in contact with the layer of photovoltaic cells; • - front and back (13, 15) encapsulation layers sandwiching the assembly composed of the layer of photovoltaic cells and the glass-fiber layer, the encapsulation layers exhibiting a length and a width greater than those of the glass-fiber layer, and the encapsulation layers making direct contact with one another at the longitudinal and lateral (5a) ends of the laminate. The invention also relates to a process for producing said laminate.
