[Problem] To make it possible to control the temperature of a vegetation ground with more precision when cultivating using a grow light. [Solution] The problem addressed by the present invention is solved by a method for controlling the temperature of a vegetation ground, the method for controlling the temperature involving supplying a heat medium inside a pipe laid within a vegetation ground that is the irradiation region of a grow light 10, while irradiating with the grow light 10 from above the vegetation ground, to thereby control the temperature of a ground surface layer region, wherein: the temperature of the ground surface layer region is derived using heat transfer analysis that includes, as boundary conditions, weather data including outside air temperature and outside humidity, and irradiation data of the grow light 10; and the heat medium supplied to the pipe is controlled while considering the heat transfer rate of the ground so that the in-ground temperature of the ground surface layer region reaches a target ground temperature.
