A method employing an edible and medicinal fungus to ferment soybean and other oil crops comprises: inoculating a fermentation medium with an edible and medicinal fungus to perform solid state fermentation so as to obtain a solid-state fermented product; and pressing the fermented product to obtain an oil and oil crop meal. The edible and medicinal fungus is an edible and medicinal fungus capable of producing a biologically active substance. The biologically active substance comprises one or more of an active polysaccharide, a flavonoid or a triterpene. Ingredients of the fermentation medium include an oil crop powder and water. The Oil crop powder comprises one or more of a soybean puffing powder, a soybean powder, a peanut powder, a vegetable seed powder, a castor bean powder or a sesame powder. The invention also relates to an oil and/or oil crop meal prepared by the above method, and products containing the oil and/or the oil crop meal. The products include feed, food, medicine or health-enhancing supplements.
