A method of detecting fall for use at a mobility-assistive device (10), the mobility-assistive device (10) is held by a user when in use, the method comprising the steps of: detecting one or more motion conditions in relation to a fall event of the mobility-assistive device (10); determining one or more respective time intervals between two or more of the detected motion conditions; and comparing the one or more determined time intervals with one or more predefined time thresholds to thereby identify one or more fall conditions in association with a fall event of the user using the mobility-assistive device (10).
