The present invention concerns a solid/solid separator of a chemical looping combustion (CLC) facility, comprising an enclosure formed successively by: a cyclonic upper portion (17, 18) comprising a supply line (16) of a gaseous mixture comprising particles of an oxygen-carrying solid and unburnt particles coming from a reduction reactor of the facility, and an outlet line (31) for a gaseous stream comprising the majority of the unburnt particles; a cylindrical middle portion (20) extending the cyclonic portion, and configured to operate a separation by dilute-phase elutriation; a lower portion (21, 22) for particle collection into which the middle portion opens, the lower portion comprising a main injection system of a first fluidisation gas (28), being configured to comprise a dense fluidised bed of particles (25) and comprising a discharge line (27) of a stream mainly comprising the oxygen-carrying particles.
