An air-cooled diesel engine structure-based water-cooled generator set, comprising a machine body (1), the machine body (1) being provided thereon with a diesel engine (2) and a generator (3); a crankshaft (21) at a side of the diesel engine (2) is connected to and drives a motor rotor (31) of the generator (3), while a motor stator (32) of the generator (3) is fixed on the machine body (1); a crankshaft (21) at the other side of the diesel engine (2) is connected to a first pulley (4), and the first pulley (4) is connected to and drives a second pulley (6) by means of a belt (5); and the second pulley (6) is provided on the rotary axis of a water pump (7) so as to drive the water pump (7).
