The present invention obtains a transmission path design assistance device with which it is possible to assist in the design of a transmission path for which reflection specification values are preset, the reflection specification values differing for each frequency. This transmission path design assistance device comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires a reflection specification value for the reflection characteristics of a transmission path to be designed, and limiting conditions for the characteristic impedance distribution of the transmission path; and a computation processing unit having a reflection characteristic calculation unit that calculates the reflection characteristics from an inputted characteristic impedance distribution, a reflection characteristic correction unit that corrects the reflection characteristics calculated by the reflection characteristic calculation unit on the basis of the reflection specification value acquired by the acquisition unit, a characteristic impedance distribution calculation unit that calculates the characteristic impedance distribution from the reflection characteristics corrected by the reflection characteristic correction unit, and a characteristic impedance distribution correction unit that corrects the characteristic impedance distribution calculated by the characteristic impedance distribution calculation unit on the basis of the limiting conditions acquired by the acquisition unit and outputs the characteristic impedance distribution to the reflection characteristic calculation unit.
