The invention describes a variable filtration system in a device connected to a pipe of an installation by splitting a main circulation route of the fluid to be filtered into a bypass route. The routes can be inside the device, forming a split path, or outside the device, forming part of the pipe of the installation, forming a split pipe, the bypass route containing a filtering alternative such that if there is a particular filtering system in a section of the main route, in the bypass there is an alternative filtering system. In either of the two cases, there can be more than one filter or no filter. Thus, using a gate system, the type of filtering that the fluid is to undergo can be selected.
