A shrinkage closure degree prediction method in a continuous casting billet (comprising a slab and a rectangular billet) reduction process. By establishing a three-dimensional finite element simulation model of a continuous casting billet reduction process, an equivalent strain at each position of a casting billet in the reduction process can be calculated and determined; moreover, by combining the shrinkage closure degree prediction method based on the equivalent strain, efficient and accurate prediction for a shrinkage closure degree in the casting billet reduction process can be achieved, thereby providing quantitative key data support for the reduction process and the development of related devices. A preset shrinkage closure degree of a slab and rectangular billet reduction process well fits the result calculated according to a shrinkage closure degree prediction formula in the method, and thus the accuracy and applicability of the shrinkage closure degree prediction method are proved.
