The invention relates to equipment for the thermal surface hardening of spherical articles, in particular in the mass production of grinding bodies and balls for rolling bearings and for valves of hydraulic systems. An apparatus for the continuous induction heating of spherical articles comprises a dispensing hopper, an intermittent feeder disposed beneath the hopper, a feed chute from the feeder to an inductor, support frames with posts provided with hinged joints and screw jacks, cylindrical inductors having a transport pipe arranged thereinside which is made of a heat-proof dielectric material, an electric drive for rotating the transport pipe about its axis of symmetry, power converters for powering the cylindrical inductors, and support bearings for supporting the transport pipe. The technical result of the invention is the creation of an apparatus for the continuous induction heating of spherical articles which provides symmetrical heating of the surface of an article to a given depth.
