The target credibility determination method comprises: obtaining detection information of a detected target and information about Doppler units around the detected target (S201); and determining the credibility of the type of the detected target according to the detection information of the detected target and the information about the Doppler units around the detected target (S202). The target recognition method comprises: detecting the same detected target multiple times; determining the current credibility of the detected target according to the current detection result of the detected target and the previous credibility of the detected target; and determining that the detected target is of a specific target type according to the current credibility. The method uses radar to determine the credibility of a detected target, and determines whether the detected target is of a specific target type, thereby improving the accuracy of target type recognition.
