Disclosed are: a dry organic soil that comprises a dry woody medium, a dry organic material and a dry compost, wherein the woody medium is formed of coniferous wood chips, the wood chips being of a size that can pass through a mesh of 10 mm or less, and the woody medium is contained in an amount of 10-90% by volume; and a plant cultivation method characterized by using the dry organic soil.
