A method and an apparatus for detecting a tissue blood vessel density index based on diffusion magnetic resonance imaging, the method comprising: establishing b value distribution and, by means of an MRI scanner, performing a diffusion imaging magnetic resonance scan at each b value and outputting an image corresponding to each b value, the b values representing the strength of the diffusion imaging gradient magnetic field (S100); respectively selecting an image wherein the b value is 0 and an image wherein the b value is not 0, and respectively acquiring the signal strength of the image wherein the b value is 0 and the signal strength of the image wherein the b value is not 0 (S200); invoking a preset computational analysis procedure to perform tissue blood vessel density analysis of the acquired signal strengths, and outputting a tissue blood vessel density index (S300). The tissue blood vessel density index is calculated on the basis of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging and by means of selecting an image wherein the b value is 0 and an image wherein the b value is not 0; compared to the prior art, there is no need to inject a contrast agent, reducing costs and avoiding damage to the tissue blood vessels, and increasing efficiency.
