A waveguide 30 for transferring millimeter waves or sub-millimeter waves is provided between a first unit 10A having an image capture unit and a second unit 20A having a video processing unit; and the second unit 20A is provided with a millimeter wave carrier generation unit 202 and a demodulation unit 203 that reproduces video signals, which were generated by the image capture unit, from millimeter-wave modulated waves generated in the first unit 10A and received via the waveguide 30; while the first unit 10A is provided with a processing/transmitting unit 102 that receives a millimeter wave carrier transferred via the waveguide 30, then superimposes the video signals generated by the image capture unit onto the millimeter wave carrier to thereby generate the millimeter-wave modulated waves, and that then transmits the millimeter-wave modulated waves toward the waveguide 30.
