Provided are a lockset state monitoring apparatus (10) and method, a lockset driving apparatus and a lockset assembly. The lockset state monitoring apparatus comprises: a varistor (11) and a first load (12), wherein a movable contact end (111) of the varistor (11) is connected to a first end of the first load (12); a first fixed end of the varistor (11) and a second end of the first load (12) are used to bear a first voltage; the variable-resistance movable contact end (111) of the varistor (11) is used to connect to an output shaft (21) of a driving electric motor (20) in a lockset; and the first fixed end and the movable contact end (111) of the varistor (11), or both ends of the first load (12) are used to connect to a main control board in the lockset, so as to output a first voltage signal to the main control board, such that the main control board determines the state of the lockset according to the first voltage signal. By means of the strong coupling linkage relationship between the rotation of the driving electric motor (20) and a resistance value of the varistor (11), the lockset state monitoring apparatus can monitor a lockset state merely by adding a simple device, and can be suitable for monitoring the states of different types of locksets, thereby reducing the development and production costs of the locksets.
