A mechanized planting method for sugarcane in hilly and mountainous areas, comprising the following steps: soil preparation, variety selection, ditching and harvesting. In this way, large-scale, intensive, standardized, mechanized, and simplified production of sugarcane in hilly and mountainous areas has been achieved, labor intensity of sugarcane production has been reduced, labor costs have been saved, and soil fertility and utilization rate have been improved at the same time, promoting the simple and mechanized production of sugarcane in hilly and mountainous areas and increasing the income of sugarcane farmers.
