Provided are an encryption and decryption method for electronic file and device. The method comprises: acquiring electronic encryption seal information and a first electronic file (101), the electronic encryption seal information comprising information obtained after watermark information and an initial electronic seal are encrypted through a private key in an RSA key; loading the electronic encryption seal information into the first electronic file to obtain a second electronic file (102); and encrypting the second electronic file and the watermark information through a preset encryption algorithm to obtain an encrypted electronic file for being sent to a destination address (103). By encrypting the initial electronic seal and encrypting the first electronic file loaded with the electronic encryption seal information, the security of the electronic file in the process of approving and stamping the seal is improved, and the third party is prevented from tampering with the encrypted electronic file in the process of sending the encrypted electronic file to the destination address.
