Provided are a drive system abnormality determination device and a straddled vehicle with which abnormalities of a drive system can be determined by a simple configuration. This drive system abnormality determination device for a straddled vehicle comprises: an angle signal output unit that periodically outputs an angle signal in accordance with the rotation of a rotational solid included in a drive system of the straddled vehicle; a rotational solid rotation speed fluctuation physical quantity acquisition unit that acquires a physical quantity relating to fluctuation in the rotation speed of the rotational solid on the basis of the signal of the angle signal output unit; a bad road determination unit that determines whether a distribution state or pattern, which is based on the rotational solid rotation speed fluctuation physical quantity acquired by the rotational solid rotation speed fluctuation physical quantity acquisition unit, fulfills a pre-established bad road condition; a continuity determination unit that determines whether the determination result obtained by the bad road determination unit, which is that the bad road condition is fulfilled, is continuing; and a drive system abnormality determination unit that determines there is an abnormality in the drive system when the continuity determination unit has determined that the determination result obtained by the bad road determination unit is continuing.
