USE OF TANSHINONE IIA IN INHIBITING ABNORMAL ACCUMULATION OF TAU PROTEIN

Disclosed are a tanshinone IIA, which acts as an inhibitor of the abnormal accumulation of the Tau protein and the use thereof in the preparation of a drug for preventing/treating Tau protein diseases or a functional food or health care product for preventing/alleviating Tau protein diseases. The present invention discloses that the tanshinone IIA has the function of effectively inhibiting the abnormal accumulation of the Tau protein, thereby preventing the pathological process of Tau protein diseases; therefore, the tanshinone IIA can act as an anti-Tau protein diseases drug for treating neurodegenerative diseases.
